A man has been charged after he was found with a “significant” amount of drugs.

On October 28, patrolling officers spotted what they believed to be drug-related activity in Cambridge Road.

A man was detained and a knife, cash, three mobile phones and Class A drugs were found in his possession.

Olakunle Bakare, 36, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and one count of possessing a knife in a public place.

He has been remanded into custody and will next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday, November 27.
