SUMO wrestling, ballroom dancing and African drumming.
Those were just some of the activities on offer after a gala day was held at Mansel Park in Millbrook to celebrate recent improvements there.
More than 600 residents turned up to try out sports, Tae Kwon-Do, puppet and costume making.
Debbie Edwards, a community development worker, who helped organise the event, said: “It was a tremendous turnout. We didn’t expect so many people to come down. It was so popular we are thinking of holding the event every year now.
“The improvements included a new multi-use games area, two playgrounds, a new footpath and more street lighting.
The event was organised by the Millbrook Towers and District Community Association, The Friends of Mansel Park and The Mansel Pavilion.
