THIS is one of the knife-wielding thugs who launched a sickening attack on a disabled man.
Alan Hornsey, 49, was beaten twice in the space of a week by robbers who burst into his flat and held a knife to his throat.
He suffered a catalogue of injuries including a broken jaw after the yobs returned just days after he was released from hospital following the first attack when he was punched and kicked him to the floor.
On the first occasion two young men carried out the attack, but they were joined by a third a week later.
Both times the gang stole cash and a mobile phone, along with personal items.
Speaking to the Daily Echo following the attacks, Mr Hornsey, who is partially sighted, said he feared for his life when he was being attacked.
He added: “I did not know when they were going to stop, especially as they all had knives. I feared they would stab me and it ran through my head that I might die.”
Police have now released an e-fit of one of the gang in the hope it will lead to finding those responsible.
The man was wearing a baseball cap with a hooded top on over the top and jeans. Black curly hair could be seen below the hat. He was aged between 18 and 20, around 5ft 7in and of stocky and muscular build. He was clean shaven and had brown hair.
Detective Constable Tony Welch, leading the investigation, said he believed the attackers were local and urged anyone who had any information or who recognised the e-fit to come forward.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the youths in or around Wavell Road between 6pm and 6.30pm on February 1 and between 7.15pm and 7.45pm on January 25.
