THE missing Southampton nurse infected with malaria has been found in Holland.
Matthew Lloyd made contact with Dutch police last night.
He has been taken to hospital so he can be medically assessed and given any treatment he needs, after being infected with the potentially deadly disease as part of a clinical trial.
He vanished a fortnight ago, having failed to turn up for follow-up treatment.
It is not yet known if the 35-year-old, who works at Southampton General Hospital, has contracted malaria.
Hampshire police will now be working with Mr Lloyd's family to bring him back to the UK.
