THE HOMELESS moggy feared too ugly to be rehomed has found a purr-fect new home family.
Dubbed Voldemog because of its uncanny resemblance to the evil Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter films, Charlie was struggling to find a new home.
But within hours of his story appearing in the Daily Echo, the Blue Cross Centre in West End, was inundated with calls, including one from a lady in Worthing who was able to reserve him first.
Yesterday she met Charlie, who has had his ears and nose removed after suffering from skin cancer, and the pair immediately bonded.
The 14-year-old domestic shorthaired cat is now preparing to move into his new home next weekend.
A spokeperson from the Blue Cross said: “They got on really well and we are now making the preparations for him to go home with her at the weekend.
“She is not a Harry Potter fan, she just heard of his plight for a nice, quiet home and she could offer him that.”
