Fulham defender Chris Baird has been charged with using an abusive and/or insulting gesture towards a match official during the Barclays Premier League game against Liverpool on Monday.
The Football Association confirmed the charge on Wednesday afternoon after Baird reacted to a booking by appearing to make a v-sign gesture at referee Lee Mason in the 5-2 defeat at Craven Cottage.
Baird has until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge.
