A MAN wanted over an attack that left a cyclist in a coma was this morning dramatically arrested by police.
Paul Johnson is being held on suspicion of attempted murder after officers received information and cordoned off Southampton Common.
It's understood Johnson, from Thornhill, was spotted around 3am in the vicinity of The Common and a number of local officers were drafted in to close off the area.
Around 40 minutes later he was found and arrested.
The 21-year-old is being held in a police station awaiting questioning over his alleged part in the assault on 24-year-old David Baker, who has been in a coma for two weeks.
Later this morning, a second man being hunted by police handed himself in.

During the early hours of this morning his friend Paul Johnson was dramatically arrested by officers who cordoned off Southampton Common after information that the 21-year-old had been seen in the area.
Police swooped at 3am and found Johnson some 40 minutes later.
Horstead, from Thornhill, walked in to Shirley police station this morning and has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Both men are now being held in police custody awaiting interview by detectives.
