BEING careful with public money is one of the most important parts of being an MP says Conservative candidate for Gosport Caroline Dinenage.
The 38-year-old mum-of-two is no stranger to politics having studied the subject with English at Swansea University and been the youngest councillor in Winchester's 1,000 year history aged just 26.
She also stood for Portsmouth South in the General Election in 2006.
Mrs Dinenage believes the big issues for Gosport include improving road access for the A32 and Stubbington bypass, tackling unemployment, boosting services at Gosport War Memorial hospital and tackling housing issues.
She has also pledged to be completely open about her expenses.
As well has her political and academic achievements Mrs Dinenage has also worked in business.
At the age of 19 she started her own corporate identity firm which she says is now one of the foremost in its field in the country.
Outside of politics Mrs Dinenage is a lifelong supporter and fan of Pompey.
She also plays netball, goes skiing and enjoys watching horseracing and polo.
Her interests include going to the theatre and cinema.
Mrs Dinenage is married to Carlos a Royal Navy officer and lives in her native home in Portsmouth but is in the process of moving to Gosport. She is the daughter of Meridian TV presenter Fred.
