SAINTS star Jay Rodriguez has been linked to a £20m move to Manchester City.

The 25-year-old is currently recovering from a cruiciate knee ligament injury sustained during Saints’ visit to City last April and has not played all season.

Now it is being reported today that the league champions, have Rodriguez in their sights with City boss Manuel Pellegrini keen to sign him.

It is said that Pellegrini is keen to press ahead in January with signing the England striker to boost his squad’s performance amid fears it is struggling to reach its best.

Meanwhile it has further been reported that Rodriguez is also in the sights of his former boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
