EASTLEIGH have pulled off an impressive coup by signing versatile former Swansea City defender Richard Duffy on a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old played a major part for League One outfit Port Vale last season, playing 52 times in all competitions.
But was available on a free with his contract due to expire next month, which Eastleigh have duly acted on.
Duffy, who has been capped 13 times by Wales, was subsequently snapped up the ambitious Silverlake Stadium contract.
Fellow Welshman, and Spitifres boss, Chris Todd was over the moon to capture one of his top targets as they eye promotion to the Football League next season.
"I’m absolutely delighted to capture one of my top targets this summer," he said.
"Richard is the calibre of player we need at our club, he is a winner and leader and will bring a wealth of experience to the squad for next season."

Duffy started his career at Swansea City before switching to Portsmouth in 2004.
During his time at Fratton Park he went out on loan to Burnley, Coventry City and back to his hometown club Swansea.
He eventually made a permanent switch to Millwall in 2009 before going on to make more than 100 appearances with Exeter City.
He signed for his last club, Port Vale, in 2012 and went on to play more than 130 games for them and helping them to promotion from League Two in 2012/13.
