SAINTS goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has joined Premier League rivals Spurs for an unknown fee.
The Argentinian keeper, who has been at Saints for five years following his move from Gillingham in July 2012, has joined former Saints boss Maurcio Pochettino after signing a five-year deal.
Gazzaniga made 23 appearances for Saints including is final match at St Mary's which was conincidentally against Spurs in December 2015.
A number of foreign clubs have shown interest in Gazzaniga after he spent last season on loan at Spanish side Rayo Vallecano, who were impressed by his efforts.
Gazzaniga had two years remaining on his Saints contract and had been linked with a £2million move to Tottenham earlier in the transfer window.
The 25-year-old was never able to fully establish himself at St Mary's, but while at Rayo Vallecano he played 22 times over the course of the campaign.
In a statement, a spokesman for Saints said: "Everyone at Southampton would like to thank Paulo for his dedication during his time with the club and we wish him the very best in the future."
