Paramedics attended to a supporter in St Mary’s during Southampton’s win over Preston on Tuesday evening.
Medics were seen helping a fan in the Itchen North as they walked down the stairs after a period of attention.
An ambulance remained outside the stadium with its lights on for over 10 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Other supporters have taken to social media to commend the speed at which the medical staff responded to the incident.
Russell Martin's Saints put on a rampant display to win 3-0 and boost their automatic promotion hopes.
They now sit four points off second-place Leicester, who they face next week.
