JAN Poortvliet will consider the experienced duo of Rudi Skacel and Jason Euell for his team - IF they are still at Saints by the end of the month.
The transfer window shuts on August 31 and Saints are keen to shift some of their higher earners off the wage bill.
The burden has been eased slightly after Polish strikers Marek Saganowski and Grzegorz Rasiak left on loan.
Rasiak joined Saints' Championship rivals Watford for the season yesterday, while Saganowski has already linked up with Danish champions Aalborg BK until January.
However, head coach Poortvliet has said they are STILL looking to reduce the amount being paid out.
Euell and Skacel - two of the highest wage earners in the squad - have not even been named on the substitutes' bench in Saints' first two competitive matches this season.
The Saints head coach said he was unsure what the immediate future was for the pair.
It is unlikely either will feature in today's game against Birmingham, or even before the end of August.
However, the Dutchman said anyone who is at the club after the transfer window closes WILL be considered as eligible for selection.
