BRENTFORD boss Andy Scott rubbed salt into Saints’ wounds by describing the Bees' win at St Mary’s as their most comfortable away victory of the season.
Scott's men returned home to London with three points, after a 2-0 success on the south coast.
It was their fifth away win in a row and means they are now officially League One’s best team on the road.
“Of the last five away wins that was probably the most comfortable,” said Scott.
“We could have scored a couple more.
“It was a very impressive performance.
“We have to enjoy days like these and performances like this – it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work.
“It was excellent team work, we created good chances and defensively the goalkeeper and the back four were fantastic.”
