Richard Chaplow will miss Saints’ final game of the season after damaging his hamstring in the 2-1 defeat against Middlesbrough.
The midfielder was forced off during the second half of the game at the Riverside and afterwards Saints boss Nigel Adkins confirmed the problem will rule him out of the season finale against Coventry next Saturday lunchtime.
“He’s out. He’s pulled his hamstring so that’s a bit of a blow,” said the Saints boss.
Saints are optimistic that Adam Lallana will be fit after feeling his groin towards the end of the game.
