EASTLEIGH have the incentive of a home tie against non-League opposition if they get past Swindon Town in next Tuesday's first round replay in Wiltshire.
The winners of that game will entertain either the Spitfires' National League promotion rivals Dagenham & Redbridge or National League North outfit FC Halifax Town in round two, to be played over the weekend of December 2-5.
Eastleigh's potential opponents battled out a 0-0 stalemate at Dagenham on Saturday and they too will meet again next Tuesday at The Shay.
Both clubs suffered relegation last season with Halifax falling out of the National League while Dagenham dropped into it from SkyBet League Two.
The Daggers are the only team to have won at the Silverlake Stadium during Ronnie Moore’s time at the Eastleigh helm, triumphing 1-0 on October 8.
Corey Whitely scored the only goal of the game while the Spitfires were temporarily down to ten men after defender Adam Dugdale had gone off injured.
