CLAUDE Puel’s future at Saints remains in the balance - despite reports that he is on the verge of the sack today.
Several national newspapers are reporting that Saints are ready to axe the Frenchman, but the Daily Echo understands the situation with the manager remains unchanged at this stage.
Saints are considering their options having completed an end of season debrief with Puel.

Vice-chairman of football Les Reed is still considering the best way ahead with Ross Wilson, and is determined not to rush into a decision that they might regret.
Saints do keep a shortlist of potential managerial targets should they end up needing to find a new boss, but the club will want to be sure they can land who they would want should they opt to make a change after one season under Puel.
