SAINTS defender Matt Targett has moved to Fulham on loan until the end of the season.
The left-back has played just two games for Saints this season and the club knew it was important for the 22-year-old's development to play regular football.
With Sam McQueen providing cover for Ryan Bertrand at left-back at St Mary's, Targett has been allowed to move to Craven Cottage to get some games under his belt.
He'll link up with the Championship side as they look to secure a play-off spot.
“I’m really happy to be here,” Targett told Fulham's website. “I am looking forward to helping the side push on to the play-offs.
“One of the main reasons I joined is that club is in a great place at the moment and the results have been fantastic. I can’t wait to be a part of that.
“I am very excited to make my Fulham debut and the most important thing is that we pick up the three points when I do.”
