FORMER Saints star Andrew Surman has joined Norwich City, ending hopes of the 23-year-old moving back to his old club.
Surman has made the switch from Wolves on a three-year-deal for an undisclosed fee, becoming the Canaries' fifth sumer signing.
Saints had been reportedly interested in brining the midfielder back to St Mary's, but he has instead opted to move to the Championship.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert said: "I watched him progress with Southampton, he's got a terrific left foot and is very good on the ball.
"He will give us balance and like everyone else he will come in and compete for a place.
"He certainly knows the Championship and I'm sure he'll do well for us."
