HOLBROOK Mary and Alec are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary today. They were married on 14th September 1963 at St Augustine's church in Northam. The couple were introduced to one another by a mutual friend, at the Youth club of the same church, and soon after this first meeting they went on their first date to a Wimpy bar in Southampton. After two years of courting they married and enjoyed a honeymoon in Scotland. This week they received a telegram from the king congratulating them. Mary and Alec have 3 children, Julie, Debbie and Gary. 2 Grandchildren, Liam and Callum and 2 Great Grandchildren, Caleb and Alfie They are celebrating with a party for family and friends on Saturday.
