A HAMPSHIRE firm has backed a rugby club preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Totton Timber has reached a deal with Tottonians to co-sponsor the first team kit for the next two seasons.
Totton Timber directors Julian Baker and Rod Rook took time out to watch the team play its first home game in the new strip.
Julian said: “I’m delighted to be able to support Tottonians financially. “Staff at Totton Timber have always kept an interest in the club’s results and success over the last decade as they moved up the league to their present position in London Division Two South West.
“We are proud and privileged to be associated with the club in their 50th anniversary year and look forward to a long association with them.”
Tottonians’ chairman Paul Searle added: “Every year is a challenge to get sponsorship so we were over the moon when Julian approached us.
“We are a very family-orientated club with senior, junior and veterans’ teams, not forgetting our Ladies’ XV – The Totties.”
