NEW JOBS are heading to Southampton after a law firm moved to prestigious new offices in the heart of the city.
Coffin Mew plans to take on new staff with the relocation to its new offices in Cumberland House, at Cumberland Place, having gone from strength to strength with strong financial results and a string of industry awards.
The investment in the city is part of the company’s growth plan on the south coast, creating a new centre of excellence after opening modern offices at Lakeside in Portsmouth.
The Southampton relocation from Kings Park House will create a new head of commercial property and key specialisms in corporate, family practice, residential property and new homes as part of its strategy for expansion.
Miles Brown, Coffin Mew’s managing partner, said: “These are exciting times for Coffin Mew as we build a modern business for continued success in the future.
“Our move to bright, innovative and accessible offices in Southampton reflects our attitude to business and our investment in the city. Southampton plays a key role in our plan for future growth.
“The new Southampton base will help us to deliver exceptional services for clients in everything we do.”
It has been a successful start to the year for the firm, recently celebrating a winning streak after being shortlisted for the Law Society’s Excellence Awards, Insolvency and Rescue Awards, LFS Conveyancing Awards and the Lex 100 Survey for the country’s best places to work.
The law firm focuses on solutions not problems, offering an all-round service with the experience of its 125-year history. Its client list includes leading Solent 250 businesses.
