THE FAREHAM branch of troubled entertainment retailer Music Zone is to close with the loss of 20 jobs.

Administrators announced 31 of 104 branches in the chain are to close with 325 jobs being axed.

They examined trading at the Westbury Mall store and decided it was no longer viable.

The remaining parts of the music and film chain, which collapsed into administration two weeks ago, is still trying to be sold off by administrators Deloitte as a going concern. It said a number of parties have expressed an interest in the firm.
