SOUTHAMPTON curry magnate Kuti Miah has revealed February 1 as the opening date of his new restaurant Kuti Wickham.
The move follows his triumph at the Cobra Good Curry Awards in December when he walked away with a Best Bangladeshi Restaurant in Britain prize.
Not one to rest on his laurels he has pencilled in Thursday, February 1 as the launch date for his fourth restaurant.
He said: "It was a prestigious award and it recognises our hard work and commitment to quality.
"This is a real achievement and I feel real satisfaction. I want to thank the people of Southampton for supporting Kuti's Brasserie over the years. Without their help I couldn't have won the award."
He aims for the Wickham branch to be every bit as good as his Oxford Street flagship.
"I'm really excited about it," he said. "We are going to keep the quality and the freshness that have made us such a success."
As well as the Oxford Street and soon to be opened Wickham outlet, Kuti owns Kuti's Noorani in Fair Oak and The Kohinoor at Portswood. He also has plans to open a Thai restaurant at Southampton's Royal Pier later this year.
