MORE than 100 Hampshire jobs could be created in the wake of a publisher's £45m deal to print home information packs (HIPs) The three-year contracts with property services firms Erinaceous, OpenBook and Hipstar are a massive boost for Segensworth firm First Sellers Pack, which currently has a £500,000 turnover.
Bosses also hope to double the £45m by signing up a further 11 companies on printing deals in the coming weeks.
They aim to transform the business into a £500m publishing force within ten years.
Controversial new laws mean that from June this year, anyone selling their home will have to provide a HIP, detailing the condition of the property.
Sales and marketing director Jonathan Moore, pictured left, who founded FSP six years ago, said: "We are proud of this business, which has been built on blood, sweat and tears, and these three contracts show that FSP is well and truly on the way to becoming a major player in the UK.
"Some 100 jobs are set to be created as we ramp up production, and there will be even more work in the pipeline when another 11 companies come on stream.
"With upwards of two million housing transactions a year in the UK, you would only need a very small slice of the HIP market to make money, and that's what I identified from day one.
"It's been a long journey, but, despite scepticism from peers and many financial hurdles along the way, these new contracts have proved I was right after all."
Finance director John Harradine, pictured right, said: "Our intention, set out in our ten-year plan, is to become a £500m publishing force.
"With £45m worth of contracts now under our wing, this is an excellent start.
"We are looking to a future where FSP will produce six out of every ten HIPs up and down the country, and we have the technology, expertise and capacity to do that."
