ALMOST one in three people are not happy at work, with managers, lawyers and bankers among the least satisfied, according to new research today.
The happiest workers are hairdressers, with a cheerful three out of five looking forward to going back to work after a day off, while beauty therapists, childcare workers and plumbers were among the most satisfied.
Workers earning less than £15,000 were far happier than those in the £40,000-£45,000 income bracket, according to a survey of 1,000 adults by City & Guilds.
Workers complained that they wanted more flexible arrangements, training and personal development.
