A HAMPSHIRE business has jumped onboard a public art extravaganza that promises to give Southampton the “wow” factor.
Associated British Ports (ABP) is the latest firm to throw its backing behind Marwell Wildlife’s Zany Zebras event, which will see a herd of life-sized sculptures hit the streets of the city next summer.
Nick Ridehalgh, director of ABP Southampton, said: “We are excited about teaming up with Marwell Wildlife once again and using our involvement to bring unique art to the city.
"The trail will provide a great showcase of Hampshire’s arts and culture to the huge numbers of cruise passengers everyone who comes through the port this summer.
"It’s also good to know that we’ll be helping to raise money for a very worthy cause.”
The port is a returning sponsor, having previously been involved in Marwell’s hugely successful Go! Rhinos of 2013.
Not only did ABP sponsor Dock Rhino but was also successful in bidding for him at the charity fundraising auction.
Dock Rhino now takes pride of place at the Ocean Terminal welcoming visitors to Southampton.
