A GROUP of Hampshire pensioners is hoping to experience the sweet smell of success and prove you are never too old to go into business.
Elderly residents at The Grange Nursing Home in Hedge End have joined forces to set up their very own beauty product line.
For months they have been busy preparing body scrubs and developing their own natural lip balms and body creams to delight the buying public. Now they are ready to launch their unique beauty range to the public in a bid to raise money for charities in the area.
All the products have been hand-made by the residents, using a mixture of oats and essential oils to create this totally natural range.
The residents are hoping to attract a flurry of customers at Thursday's launch at the nursing home in Upper Northam Road.
Trudy Longworth, co-ordinator of activities at the home, said: "The residents are thrilled to feel they are giving something back to the community and it is helping their feelings of self worth. It can seem like life is over when you enter a home."
