A DISUSED former bank premises in Southampton is to become a Chinese restaurant.
Shanghai 1814 in the old HSBC building in the High Street is due to be officially opened by mayor of Southampton, Cllr Les Harris on Friday evening.
The restaurant will offer a variety regional cuisines including, Sichuan, Gangdong, Hong Kong and Beijing, says the proprietor Susan Sun.
The dining areas are situated at the ground floor and mezzanine floor of the listed building while on the first floor, there are six karaoke and private function rooms.
The restaurant will open to the public from Saturday. The opening hours will be Monday to Saturday midday to midnight and Sunday 11am to midnight.
‘We will do our best to serve our consumers with good food, good drink, good service and good value for money," said Susan Sun.
