DOUBLE Olympic gold medal-winning sailor Shirley Robertson was the guest of honour to officially open the new Red Funnel Worldwide Holiday and Travel Shop.
Shirley, who was awarded an OBE and lives on the Isle of Wight, visited the travel shop in The Arcade in West Cowes. She is pictured meeting Red Funnel competition winner Debby Robinson (left), who won a £2,000 dream holiday of her choice.
Situated next to the Red Funnel Hi-Speed terminal in West Cowes, Red Funnel Worldwide will offer holidays to a range of destinations, giving Isle of Wight residents the chance to book everything from weekend city breaks to exotic long haul locations.
Colin Hetherington, commercial director at Red Funnel, said: "Building on our wealth of holiday and travel experience, we are delighted to be opening the first Red Funnel Worldwide Holidays travel agency.
"As the only travel agency in Cowes, we're very pleased to be able to offer an extensive range of holiday options at competitive prices to Isle of Wight residents."
