ACCOUNTING giant Price- WaterhouseCoopers has boosted its Southampton-based headcount to 350 after hiring 26 graduates.
The new team will be working within different departments of the firm, but all will be starting work straight away with more experienced colleagues on the firm's high profile regional clients such as drinks giant Bacardi and defence firm Cobham.
It is not only the new team members that are celebrating, but PwC Southampton also recently announced a series of promotions within the Ocean Village offices.
The promotions include three new directors, three senior managers and four managers.
Geoff Briggs, managing partner of the Southampton office said: "The firm has seen a noticeable increase in the number of graduates entering the firm who have chosen to take time out before joining us - 43 per cent in 2006 - and has therefore launched an April intake initiative starting in 2008 to accommodate this trend.
"We are very pleased and proud of both our new team members, and those who have recently been promoted; and are sure that they will all hit the ground running."
