A TUG-OF-WAR between two bus giants has been won by Bluestar, which wrestled a night service contract from the hands of rival First.
The company has signed on to pick up revellers for the next three years.
From June, Bluestar services N6 and N16 will be picking up passengers from Southampton nightclubs up until 4am and taking them home to West End, Hedge End, Botley, Netley and Hamble.
Bluestar operations manager Alex Hornby said that this addition to their network will complement their existing Nightstar services.
He said: “We are delighted to gain this contract and look forward to launching the expanded night service with a number of promotional initiatives this summer.”
Eastleigh-based Bluestar employs over 220 drivers on a fleet of 95 buses.
