A TASTE of the high pressure hurly burly of a stock market trading room, pictured, will be on offer to students at Winchester Business School this week after tutors set up a replica.
Complete with live stock market feeds, the facility is designed to leave students with no illusions about the high pay, high stress lifestyle.
Professor Neil Marriott, dean of the Winchester Business School, said: “It will bring a difficult subject to life and place students under simulated stressful work environ-ments, offering a valuable insight into the demand-ing world of city traders.”
The trading room will be opened by Professor Bruce Weber from the London Business School on Wednesday. He co-developed TraderEx, an interactive computer simulation designed to provide experience in making tactical decisions in different market environments.
