A SECURITY firm has been so successful over the past 12 months it has been forced to leave its Hampshire base for bigger premises outside the county.

Security Supplies Ltd is leaving its units at the New Forest Enterprise Centre where it has sold security devices to installers for the past nine years.

After starting with one unit the business quickly took over two buildings in the centre and now has four branches across the UK and employs 15 members of staff.

Chris Davis, who began the firm as a sole trader, said: “It was a difficult decision as we laid our roots down in these offices, and the Centre has supported and helped us since day one of the business, but it just became apparent that we needed more space after expanding.

“We’ve since opened branches in Poole and Enfield, but we’ll always be thankful to the team at the New Forest Enterprise Centre. Our latest new company venture in Chelmsford utilises similar premises – it’s a great way to minimise the risks involved when you’re starting out.”

David Robberts, manager of the New Forest Enterprise Centre, said: “It’s sad to see a business move out because we develop a real relationship, especially after nine years, but we are very proud of the Security Supplies’ success and wish them all the best for the future.”
