Dee's new challenge is to inspire others ROUND-the-world yachtswoman Dee Caffari is to launch her own business using her experiences on the high seas to inspire top executives.

The 33-year-old Southampton sailor, who made headlines by becoming the first woman ever to sail solo the wrong way' round the world non-stop, now promises to teach others how to deliver a super-human performance in business.

She battled atrocious storms in the Southern Ocean, suffered chronic sleep deprivation and tackled a host of complex technical problems which forced her more than 4,500 miles out of her way.

Her record-breaking trip came to a dramatic end after 26 weeks and 29,100 miles in Ocean Village on Sunday.

Now Dee has turned the knowledge and experience gained on her extraordinary voyage into a workshop called Complete Confidence by Caffari, which is to be launched at Senspa in the New Forest on June 8.

The inspirational workshop, which will be toured to other businesses, offers people the chance to learn how to tackle challenges and aims to demonstrate what can be achieved by pushing the boundaries. It is primarily aimed at decision-makers and a human resources or training audience.

The former PE teacher will also be hosting a prestigious evening at The Royal Geographical Society, called An Audience with Dee Caffari.

Dee said: "I'm very excited to be sharing my experiences with the business community.

"On my voyage I faced tough challenges every day, which taught me about the importance of strong leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and overcoming adverse situations.

"By bringing to life these skills through the context of my voyage, I hope to give people confidence to tackle challenges in their working lives and inspire them to believe that anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
