BOTLEY Bathroom Centre boss Peter Line, pictured, is quitting after more than three decades.
The 73-year-old, who claims to have read the Daily Echo every day since starting up on his own in 1974, was presented with a specially commissioned front page to mark the event.
Peter said: "I just love the Echo. I like the local news and naturally I love the classifieds we've had a few bargains from there over the years.'' Peter is handing over the reins of the well-known local business to son Steve and going cruising with wife Lynne on the seven seas instead. He said: "I am leaving it in good hands. The business should expand and continue.
"Looking back on everything, I feel great and we enjoy life."
