A TECHNOLOGY firm from Totton has sealed a deal to send its brand global – and claims it will generate £10m sales in the first year.

Amicus ITS has set up a network of firms to re-sell its computer management services to companies across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

It’s an international roll-out of a model the £15m-turnover business has successfully adopted at home, where it has 11 such partners and transforms the business into “one of the UK’s largest managed services providers”.

Similar packages to those Amicus has long sold to household names such as the NHS, Volvo Cars UK and Government body the Foods Standards Agency will now be available globally, either under its branding or as “white label” services under a partner’s name.

In Australia and New Zealand, Amicus services will be sold by Sydney-based IT easy, while across Europe its partner will be Canadian giant |N-able.

Managing director Steve Jackson, pictured, said: “This is a really exciting time for the company. We are a business that has been on a journey of change over the last two years, during which time we have reviewed our strategic vision and direction.

“In 2009 many companies froze or cut their investment in IT systems. However, this decline was offset by increased spending on outsourced services and the transfer of non-core IT activities to specialist providers to reduce operating costs. We anticipate this trend continuing.”
