TWO leading New Forest estate agents have revealed merger plans.
From the end of the month Fells Gulliver in Brockenhurst will be amalgamating with Spencers of Burley into Spencers of The New Forest.
The Lyndhurst and Lymington branches of Fells Gulliver continue to trade unaffected.
Rob Batten, who took over the Fells Gulliver Brockenhurst office in 2005 having previously enjoyed over 20 years property experience in London and the Home Counties, says clients will benefit.
He says: “After five very successful years of building my business in Brockenhurst I felt it was time for a positive change. Both offices have very similar market places in terms of the type of applicants they attract and the mid to high value properties they sell. Re-branding the Brockenhurst office as Spencers will allow all our clients to benefit from a vastly extended and improved service and we are looking forward to making this available to the wider New Forest area.”
Spencers managing director Alan Mould, a Forest native who set up Spencers in 2006, said: “We are already two of the most successful New Forest estate agents and joining forces will allow us to offer our clients an extended team of experienced agents.
“Our businesses have followed a similar path over the course of the last few years and have great synergy. We have both successfully weathered the recession to date and are now seeing increased levels of sales.”
