SUITS and calculators were swapped for overalls and paintbrushes when staff from a Southampton accountancy firm gave a Hampshire respite centre a makeover.

The staff from Grant Thornton, Southampton gave a new lick of paint to Vitalise Netley Waterside House – a holiday facility for people with disabilities and their carers.

The volunteer team used several tins of paint recently donated to the centre to freshen up the 24 tired and shabby bedrooms.

Senior manager Jennie Cook said: “It was a brilliant day.

“The Vitalise centre is such an important resource for so many people and it feels great that the team at Grant Thornton has played a part in making it better.”
