A FOUR-month, £5m refurbishment of Southampton’s John Lewis store will be celebrated next week.
The 11-year-old department store’s first floor has been given a complete makeover with the introduction of new retail concepts and a host of new brands.
Customers can now fully try electrical and home technology products, new brands have been added to the menswear department, and a new furniture department includes a host of beds, mattresses, living, dining and fitted bedroom furniture.
The refurbishment is part of the retailer’s growth strategy by sprucing up its existing department stores.
John Lewis Southampton managing director Mark Venables said: “The shop looks simply fantastic. I’m delighted that the project is nearing completion and we can look forward to the busy Christmas trading period with a new-look first floor to delight and inspire our customers.”
