PARKLIVES and Coca-Cola are providing a series of free taster sessions every Wednesday throughout August at Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre.
Archery takes place between 5pm and 6pm on August 8 and 22 with fully qualified instructors will teach the basics of using a bow and arrow.
Participants will get the chance to shoot at targets in a safe environment.
At the beginner’s climbing session, between 6pm and 7pm, participants will be fully kitted out to take on the climbing walls at Woodmill Activity Centre, accompanied by trained instructors who will share techniques on conquering the walls.
These sessions are for children aged over six years.
All sessions are designed to promote the wellbeing benefits of taking part in outdoor activities such as combatting loneliness and boosting confidence, as well as empowering local communities to help keep green spaces looking their best.
ParkLives sessions last for around one hour and are hosted by trained, friendly and passionate leaders and volunteers from the local area.
