HAVING never been to The Joiners we were surprised by the size of the venue when we arrived at the Southampton venue to see Kezia Gill.
The cosy atmosphere was brilliant, and support act Brian Collins and his guitarist Rockwell Jacobs were an unexpected treat. There were excellent vocal harmonies and very impressive guitar playing from both.
Rockwell had a lot of flare, interesting solos and great musicality.
The multitalented Brian played the harmonica, guitar and sung. The songs were well written and we enjoyed the raw feel. They are talented musicians. We really enjoyed their set.
We will be looking out for more live performances with the two - our only disappointment was that we missed the T-shirt stand this time.
Kezia’s entrance would rival that of a WWE star’s in the wrestling ring.
Her powerhouse vocals raised the roof of a sold out Joiners.
Engaging from start to finish, Kezia knows how to keep everyone entertained.
Her stage presence, honed in the pubs and clubs of Eastern England, showed she is a rising star in the world of country, blues and rock singer-songwriters and performers.
Kezia put on a great show with the support of her band - they all played excellently together.
These new fans will be listening on Spotify until we can book another Kezia gig.
Overall, we had a fantastic evening watching these two great performances and experiencing the live music.
