The once bitter rivals Mario and Sonic have already put aside their differences by appearing together in an Olympic Games video game as well as a Winter Olympics game. Although they’re standing side-by-side in games now, their competitive edge has not waned in the slightest.
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games – quite a mouth-full – give both 3DS and Wii gamers the opportunity to control many of the characters from both of the series in a variety of different sports. There’s Soccer, Equestrian, Athletics, Aquatics, Table Tennis and more.
The Wii version is scheduled for release in November 2011, whilst 3DS owners will have to wait until February 2012.
This debut trailer released at E3 2011 gives extra insight into the sports that may be available.
