It’s time to dust off the drums, get out the guitar and muster up the might for the microphone. Guitar Hero: Metallica is here bringing with it the most difficult challenge that any Guitar Hero fan has been up against yet.
Beating furiously like the Muppet’s Animal on the bass pedal, drums and high hats that make up the drum kit can be exceedingly difficult. But with the inclusion of the all-new Expert+ mode, players get the option of including another bass pedal to make things even harder.
It was obvious from the start that Guitar Hero: Metallica would be difficult, they are famously fiendish songs on all rhythm games. That said though, they are generally great to hear and the feeling of satisfaction when nailed is immense.
As well as some guitar shredding classics like The Unforgiven or Enter Sandman there are songs picked by the godly hands of Metallica as the selection that both inspired and influenced their music. Players can rock out to other legends such as Queen, Foo Fighters, Motorhead and more.
With all the songs, difficulty levels and instruments that can be played, Guitar Hero: Metallica is not only addictive but has a high level of sustainability. There are also fact files and lyrics that die-hard fans will undoubtedly want to study.
Activision have churned out so many Guitar Hero titles over the past few years, yet both Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits and Guitar Hero 5 will be out in the coming few months. The constant buying of discs could start getting very expensive but if you’ve already forked out money for the instruments, you may as well pay the comparatively small amount more for this excellent selection of tracks.
