A SOUTHAMPTON concert hall’s manager has been given the highest accolade in his industry.

Turner Sims’ Kevin Appleby, pictured, was named Concert Hall Manager of the Year at the Association of British Orchestras conference.

Violinist Nicola Benedetti presented the award to Kevin at the ceremony which honoured backstage talent in the UK’s classical music industry. Kevin said: “In the past year Turner Sims has presented and played host to some exceptional events. To receive recognition for this is very special.”
