IT IS less than a month to go until The Larmer Tree Festival – and the fifth music headliner has been revealed.
Imelda May will take to the main stage on Saturday, July 20.
Bringing her signature rockabilly style and high-energy superstar stage-presence back to Larmer Tree, after her last spectacular appearance in 2011, the audience can expect to dance the night away.
Richard Thompson Trio has also been announced, joining the Thursday line-up, alongside Dexys and The Beat.
Folk singer, guitarist and songwriter Richard has been hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the “Top 20 Guitarists of All Time”.
Performing as a trio, the audience can look forward to a fully-charged electric set on Thursday night, from this undisputed guitar legend.
Already announced are Van Morrison, Seasick Steve, Bellowhead, KT Tunstall and dozens more.
It is not just about the music though – there is Mark Kermode’s Film Club, where the New Forest film critic presents a selection of his much-loved films, and a packed programme of shows and activities for children and teenagers throughout the festival, plus a full programme of comedy, which this year includes TV favourites Dylan Moran, Rich Hall and Alistair McGowan.
The festival takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens, on the Dorset Wiltshire border near Salisbury from July 17 to 21.
