THE TALKING HEADS
FOLLOWING on from the success of last year’s event, the second all-day concert in support of the Amy Winehouse Foundation will be taking place at The Talking Heads on Sunday.
Last year raised over £1,500 and showcased some of the best local talent on the scene.
This year will include performances from one of the country’s best Amy Winehouse tribute acts Laura Anne Butler.
There will also be music from the soulful vocals of Jamey P and Rufus Mufasa with DJ Ant Brave Toaster Hughes, Folk punk with an edge from Sean Macgowan as well as band of the moment The Harlequin.
Other acts will also be playing throughout the day to ensure the party atmosphere is in full swing.
RAILWAY INN, WINCHESTER
ROCK quartet Black Lodge Band have already made an impression in Hampshire with their reputation for blending disco beats with theatrical melodies and gothic howls.
They are also known for their energetic performances that will have the crowd riveted.
They’ll be performing in the Railway Inn in Winchester tomorrow.
Also playing will be The Adam Rose Band.
They will be playing some of their best songs such as Into The Star which is already racking up thousands of views on YouTube.
CONCORDE CLUB
Dynamic showman and fantastic singer Roy G Hemmings will be performing at the Concorde Club tomorrow night.
The former front man of The Drifters will be bringing his unique voice to Hampshire.
He has entertained audiences around the world with his easy, relaxed style and fabulous voice in a career that spans four decades and includes appearances in several Royal Variety shows and twice at The White House for the then president Bill Clinton.
The highly respected artiste and singer has a distinguished track record of fine stage craft.
As the longest serving member of The Drifters, he has had many years of practice delighting and thrilling audiences.
HATCHET INN, SHERFIELD ENGLISH
DELIVERING high-energy Atlantic, Stax and classic soul with passion in a munky-type way, Soulmunky are a band that even get the non- dancers up on their feet.
They will be playing on Sunday at the Beerfest at the Hatchett Inn, Sherfield English.
The 7-piece band play classic songs such as Gr een Onions, Flip Flop and Fly, Mustang Sally and I Feel Good.
Each band member brings their own personal style of playing to the band as well as a wealth of experience.
They believe that soul music isn’t soul music unless they have added their own twist and ‘munky- ed’ it
