INNER VISION ORCHESTRA
OPERA singer Denise Leigh who headlined at the Paralympics 2012 Opening Ceremony and Indian maestro and Musical Director Baluji Shrivastav join together to perform at Turner Sims tomorrow night.
The sitarist to the stars has played with George Harrison, recorded for Boy George, Annie Lennox, Massive Attack, Future Sound of London, Doves and is bringing together ten incredible musicians from around the world who are blind called the Inner Vision Orchestra, building on the performance of a group of them alongside Coldplay at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing Ceremony.
Their uplifting music moves between songs from Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, to soulful Gospel and Blues to sublime Indian Ragas and Western Classical compositions.
THE DAVID OWEN NORRIS TRIO
STOCKBRIDGE Music presents a world famous pianist this weekend.
The David Owen Norris Piano Trio perform at St Peter’s Church in Stockbridge High Street tomorrow night.
David will be performing on his Broadwood Grand Piano of 1828 alongside friends Camilla Scarlett on violin and Jonathan Byers on cello.
The show will include a performance of Beethoven’s famous Moonlight Sonata alongside a varied programme of music by Sir William Sterndale Bennett, Elgar and Mendelssohn.
