Now Eastleigh’s Concorde Club will be one of the stops on a worldwide tour as the first lady of Motown Martha Reeves celebrates the 50th anniversary of the famous single.
In a coup for the Stoneham Lane club, the group will, on September 25, re-create those Motor City chart toppers including Nowhere To Run and Jimmy Mack.
The show is part of a star studded season including giants from the world of entertainment and sport, including a cricketing icon.

On May 2, The Concorde will be the launch pad for a nationwide blockbusting soul superstars’ tour starring Geno Wasington, The Foundations and Jaki Graham.
Former Supreme Kaaren Ragland and Motown recording artist Johnny Britt get together for Motor City Memories on May 9.
From London’s West End the cast of Carnaby Street The Concert will hit the stage on May 17.
Phoneyfest, the south’s biggest and only three-day tribute festival, which re-creates the sounds of the world’s most famous musical acts, runs from May 23 to May 25.
