THE countdown has begun for this year’s Party in the Park at Poole where this year the theme is  ‘Carnival Time’ for the August bank holiday event.

Jane Jones, organiser, said; “I am so thrilled with the way ticket sales are going and with such a fantastic line up we are expecting the event to be the biggest and best yet! It’s also a brilliant way to support our chosen charity, Lewis Manning Hospice. In addition we are working with the O2 Academy Bournemouth who will be presenting the opening band on each day and more on this to be announced.” 

The full line up starts with the amazing international DJs Norman Jay MBE and Jazzie B OBE - and they now have Rowetta on board from Happy Mondays!

The line-up- including the pick of local bands includes: winners of Europe’s best reggae band from Bournemouth Dubheart, Pachango a fun funk to hip hop party band, a 6 piece Cuban Latin band Afro Tallewah and Baffana funk soul brothers.

They have also included the best of the local club nights including; Bump N Hustle -the purveyors of soulful grooves since 1992. Bar So Sound System, Bournemouth’s most successful club for the last 10 years. Underground dance music promoters; Shake who recently celebrated their 5th birthday and have a huge following.

Each will have their own Sound System show on the main stage over the weekend with full carnival show, performers, MCs and musicians. 

The Random Acts Club VIP enclosure with access all areas including back room, green room bar in a magnificent Moroccan circus style marquee with VIP tables, waitress service and random arts performances going on inside: £20 per day including glass of bubbly or £36 for w/end ticket. 

The carnival will have something for everyone, including a fantastic kid zone hosting trampolines, mechanical ponies, inflatables and many more interactive activities for all members of the family! 

Early bird tickets have almost sold out, tickets can be bought online or at one of our trusted local vendors; Patricks, Mambo, The Dancing Moose, The Brit pub.
